After 4 years of dedicated effort, the LIFE CLIVUT project concluded on August 31st. The Urban Green Climate Change Strategy has been effectively executed in Portugal (Cascais), Italy (Perugia and Bologna), and Greece (Thessaloniki), as well as in their corresponding transfer cities.

Urban green refers to all areas, more or less expanded, which constitute a real green lung of cities, affecting the quality of life of all population groups.
In urban centers in summer there is often a microclimatic phenomenon, defined as " Urban heat island", which involves local overheating with an increase in temperatures of up to 4-5 ° C compared to peripheral areas or the countryside.
The practical part, on the other hand, will be devoted to illustrating the potential and functions of the Treedb Web App designed by CLIVUT, which is useful for the census and monitoring of trees. With the app, it is possible to know how much C02 different types of trees can store and how much PM10 they can absorb in 30 years.
117th Congress of the ITALIAN BOTANICAL SOCIETY, and the 8th International Plant Science Conference, was held from September 7 to 10 in Bologna. The team of the European LIFE CLIVUT Project is organizing starting in September, five free meetings open to everyone, dedicated to the management and monitoring of green areas, both public and private, and to the discovery of the Treedb Web App. The meeting will last about 2 hours, will consist of a theoretical part (1 hour) and a practical part (1 hour); and will be repeated at five different Associations in the city of Bologna.
