The LIFE CLIVUT (Climate Value of Urban Trees) organised in Perugia
a NETWORKING platform on "RETHINKING CITIES
TO COMBAT CLIMATE CRISIS", with the aim of bringing together
project and initiatives to network and discuss lessons and best practices
to support the urban context in designing and adopting strategy against
climate change.
Representatives from EU institutions, local authorities,
LIFE projects and international experts discussed the role of urban
context in the European “2050 long-term strategy”.
The meeting took
place in Perugia on 1 July 2022 in hybrid modality (both in-person and
virtual attendees).
The meeting was focused in 3 discussion areas, namely
S1-URBAN FORESTS AND ECOSYSTEM SERVICES, S2 - URBAN GREEN MANAGEMENT
VS CLIMATE CHANGE CHALLENGES, S3 - STUDENTS, CITIZENS and ENTERPRISES
FOR THE CLIMATE CHANGE. This was realised through panel discussions
with representatives of the projects, coordinated by a moderator, who
as an expert on the topic that the projects had in common, allowing
a more in-depth exploration of the different topics covered, exchanging
practical advice between projects.
Outcomes from the platform meeting will be made available online. Further
information are available on this page, or by contacting segreteria@lifeclivut.com.
